Yes, I finally started sewing clothes for me again. My daughter is usually the lucky one who gets an enormous amount of hand made clothes but this time, it was my turn. Yay!
Easy Ladies Tee

The fabric I used is from Riley Blake in knit and white/gray. You can view it on Etsy or Amazon. The stripes are 1/2″ wide in white and gray. It has just enough stretch to be super comfy for an any day shirt for myself. The content of this material is 95% cotton/5% lycra.
The Laundry Day Tee Pattern by Love Notions is THE perfect t-shirt pattern. The tutorial offers several options for short, 3/4 and long sleeves as well as different necklines. You can further choose t-shirt or tunic length. I opted for 3/4 sleeves, scoop neck and tunic length. The size I made was XL and it turned out roomy! Yay!

- Sizes: XS – XXXL
- Sleeves: short, 3/4 or long
- Neckline: scoop & V-neck
- T-shirt or tunic length
- Layers for each size (see how to print layers!)
- No trim pages (which makes taping together a breeze!)
- Illustrated instructions (if you rather see real life pictures, see my video!)
The tutorial is thorough and organized. Thanks to the layer print option, I only printed out my size XL. Saved me a tiny bit of ink that way 😉
The step by step instructions are illustrated which I am not a big fan of. I was still able to sew the shirt with no problems. It’s such an easy sew! I thought maybe it would be helpful to someone who is visual learner and loves ‘real life’ pictures in a tutorial. Watch the video below:
All in all it’s an amazing pattern and I am certain that I’ll be sewing this tee with different sleeve lengths and I might possibly even straighten out the flare a bit. I love how it fits and find it true to size. Don’t be afraid of sewing with knits! This pattern could be THE perfect beginner pattern!
