We are kicking up a fun series about new and aspiring pattern designers! Have you heard of the ‘Swhetty Betties’? No? Well you really want to check them out!
The Swhetty Betties are a close knit group of new and aspiring pattern designers on facebook! You can only join this group if you have personally requested to join (and of course, if you are a pattern designer!) I have the absolute honor to be a mentor at this awesome group to assist with promotional things and lend a hand (if they ever need one lol).

Seriously, I hang out on facebook a lot and have learned about the Swhetty Betties group a while back, not even sure how. But what I noticed from the start was the utter willingness of those ladies to help each other succeed in pattern making. Let’s face it, pattern making has become a huge deal lately with many, hundreds or more budding pattern designers popping up literally every day! But I admire those ladies’ enthusiasm and determination to make themselves a name and produce simply amazing designs with a professionalism that I can only say ‘hats off’!
So let’s begin, first we have

2. When did you start making patterns?
I’ve been drafting my own patterns for several years but just recently started digitally drafting them.
